Cygnus Cyclone 30 Patrol MkIII built and completed by Cygnus Marine in 2002 to their customary high standard of craftsmanship. The boat conforms to RCD Category 'B' rules and she is therefore fast, stable, robust and seaworthy. She was constructed to the first owner’s very exacting specifications on a no expense spared basis.

From forward: V berth in separate forward cabin with stowages beneath each berth and a glazed deckhead hatch with flyscreen for light and ventilation. Aft of this cabin is the galley to starboard with Smev 4 burner gas hob and oven, stainless steel sink with pressurised hot and cold water and generous stowage lockers for crockery, glasses etc. Opposite the galley is the heads compartment with electric toilet with change over valve to discharge to holding tank or sea, hand basin, shower fitting, lockering for toiletries, portlight and overhead vent. Aft is the companionway to the wheelhouse with the helm to starboard. The helm has a KAB suspension seat with the engine controls, instruments and listed navigation units to hand and excellent all round visibility.
There is a raised double seat to port with stowage beneath and to side, chart table, ICS Navtex and Yeoman. The three forward facing windows are fitted with Exalto 2 speed wipers. There are glazed hatches with fly screens above both helm and navigator positions for light and ventilation. To the rear of the helm are lockers one of which contains the fridge. There is a dinette to port with 4 facing seats with further stowage beneath and lowering table giving 2 additional berths. Access to the engine is beneath the wheelhouse sole.
There are 13amp outlets in the saloon, galley and forward accommodation supplied by shore power or the generator and a TV outlet in the saloon. The boat is fitted with a Webasto heating system with warm air supplied to fore-cabin, wheelhouse and wheelhouse windows. All of the interior joinery is in teak veneered ply with solid teak mouldings. All saloon windows have curtains.
The accommodation is fitted with easy clean beige head-lining and blue fitted cushions throughout. The boat is fitted with a holding tank for black water (100ltrs) and a fresh water tank (200ltrs). The door to the cockpit is offset to starboard. The spacious cockpit has a watertight access hatch to space below to service generator, shaft, trim tabs, fuel filters and a transom door to starboard leading to the bathing platform. There are lockers to port and starboard of the wheelhouse door to provide seating and further stowage.

Single 330hp Cummins 6BTA5.9M3 6cyl diesel engine controlled by Morse single lever control (new cables fitted 2012). Approx 285 hours as at Oct 2013. The engine drives through a ZF 2.04:1 hydraulic gearbox to stainless steel shaft with rope cutter and 4 bladed 24x25in propeller. An emergency steering facility is located beneath the cockpit sole accessed through a separate hatch. Speeds: cruising 15 knots at 2300rpm, max speed 21 knots at 2800rpm. Fuel capacity 750 ltrs in two tanks with remote shut off valves by helm. Hydraulic steering system. Electro-hydraulic trim tabs.
